This forum will offer participants the opportunity to explore the role that councils play in the safe management and regulation of asbestos within their Local Government Areas. Councils are invited to attend along with representatives from the EPA, SafeWork, Fire & Rescue, Narrabri Council, and LGNSW. 

The forum is free and catering is included.

Regional Development Australia (RDA) Orana director Megan Dixon said the Orana region has huge potential for an expanded population, with migration support and economic development paramount for future growth.

“Migration to Australia’s regional areas has already had a positive effect on employment levels, community growth and economic development,” she said.

“Skilled migration has contributed to rural and regional communities struggling with labour shortage, family drift and changing market demands.”
