Migration important to population growth

RDA Orana 30 January 2020

Regional Development Australia (RDA) Orana director Megan Dixon said the Orana region has huge potential for an expanded population, with migration support and economic development paramount for future growth.

“Migration to Australia’s regional areas has already had a positive effect on employment levels, community growth and economic development,” she said.

“Skilled migration has contributed to rural and regional communities struggling with labour shortage, family drift and changing market demands.”
