Burren Junction Public School Teacher position

Expressions of interest are invited from qualified teachers interested in a career opportunity relieving in the position of classroom teacher, K-6, for the 2020 school year (with the possibility of an extension). The position will be located at:

School Information
Burren Junction Public School has an enrolment of 40 students, with 3 multi-grade / stage classes. The school is situated in the rural community of Burren Junction, located 40 minutes west of the township of Wee Waa.
At Burren Junction Public School we have dedicated staff committed to achieving improved student learning outcomes. We ensure our teaching and learning programs are differentiated to cater for the diverse learning needs of our students. All classes in the school are multi-stage. As a school we participate in enrichment programs and gifted and talented programs, within and beyond the school, to meet the needs of all our students. We actively engage our community in the decision making processes of the school through the School Council and are strongly supported by a hard-working P&C Association.
We work closely with the Barwon Community of Schools, with Department of Education groups and private providers to ensure enhanced learning opportunities for our students.
Position Information
1.Remuneration: Base rate - $69,929 to $109,427 depending on experience. (Plus superannuation and leave loading).Climatic Allowance and Isolation from Goods and Services remuneration benefits apply.
2.Teacher Housing is available in Burren Junction with a rental subsidy of 90%

Statement of duties
Classroom teacher, K-6.
Willingness to teach multi-stage classes, K- 6.
Create quality teaching and learning programs using current NSW syllabus documents.

Selection criteria
 Approval to teach infants and primary with a demonstrated ability to plan and deliver high quality, data-informed, engaging and differentiated teaching and learning programs, within multi- grade or stage classes.
 Demonstrated capacity to enrich student learning through STEM / Technology and a willingness to support extra-curricular activities around Eisteddfod, public speaking and sport.
 Commitment to whole school positive wellbeing programs with a strong emphasis on effective classroom practice strategies to ensure every student is known, valued and cared for.
 Outstanding teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage our rural school community and encourage parent participation in the school.
 Capacity to implement Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into classroom practices.

Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

2. The name and contact details of 2 referees, one of the referees listed must be the applicant’s current principal or supervisor for non-school-based staff.
3. Expressions of interest addressing the Selection Criteria must not exceed 2 X A4 pages and require the signature of the applicant’s current principal or supervisor.
4. The attached Expression of Interest Form (attached document #2) must also be completed and requires the signature of the applicant's current principal or supervisor.
5. The EOI application addressing the Selection Criteria, EOI Form plus the name and contact details of 2 referees should be submitted to Suzanne Galvin, principal, at Suzanne.P.Galvin.@det.nsw.edu.au by 5:00pm on Friday, 7 February, 2020.
